Bought the wrong targets... dang it.
« on: February 25, 2011, 04:27:05 PM »
Bought some silhouette targets and ended up with B-29 reduced size targets out of ignorance.  I figured out that they're 50 foot targets that simulate a 50yd torso.  --sigh--  I guess I'll be simulating a confrontation either with aggressive midgets or 6th grade gang bangers.  There's a hundred of them too.  I wondered why they were $12/hd instead of $50 like the others.

Look at it like this, if you get good at hitting midget sized bad guys then full sized ones should be no problem.  ;D Keep in mind too that in many cities 6th grade gang bangers aren't all that rare. Put a gun in one's hand and he's an adult to me!

I like the reduced size B-29s for the same reasons as Spirithawk.  :)

One of the local LEO's told me the real Bad guys around here were 12-15 years old with a gun.  They haven't learned fear yet.  So you might want to try those targets out.

I had to escort some out of my yard a couple years ago that were just teens, they climbed the fence in back obviously looking for something to steal.  I didn't call the law...no need ...I just did my best to convince  them I would shoot them full of SKS size holes if I saw them again...so far so good.

If those targets aggravate you that much...you could just take them out back and shoot them ;D

Got'em in... they're not 6th grade GBers, more like 3d or 4th grade.  I guess I'll just use them as general purpose targets.  Since they're 1/3 scale, a buddy suggested putting them out at 200yds to simulate sniping at 600 or 300 for 900.  I reminded him that it wouldn't simulate wind drift.
