Dedicated vermint rifle
« on: February 25, 2011, 06:58:02 PM »
I still don't know how, but in trying to get a receiver for the 30-30 barrel I got throught the classifieds, I ended up with a 223 barreled action, a 500 S&W rifle and 3 extra actions!   :o  I'm getting to really dislike this forum...  ::)

So I got a stock, again from the classifieds, for the 223.  A synthetic, one of two I own!  Now I have a dedicated coyote rifle!   ;D

Here she is!

Nice lookin' setup Richard. Those camo stocks are really growing on me. I just made a trade deal for a 22-250 barrel... it's gonna be my single shot coyote getter. Between my 22hornet, 223 and 22-250 I should have just about any kind of varmint covered. ;D

Awesome piece of glass you got on there, too.  And I like the extended rings.  I have Milletts on my Handis also.  Really looks like a custom set up.

Good thoughts to you and yours.

great looking rifle , have you shot it yet? i was wondering about the bipods, because i was reading that you would want to rest on sand bags closer to the action . So i wondered if having the bipod mounted out front would effect accuracy?

Join the crowd.  I have two dedicated .223 Varmit Rifles.  One is green, and the other is white.  Oh my gosh, I just realized I have three white ones.  How did that happen?  Make that four Varmit Rifles.

Define Varmit:  Any wild animal (Usually a preditor) that can come into a human living area and become a neuscense.  Such as Prarie Dogs, Groundhogs, Foxes, Coyotes, Bobcats, Lynx, Wolverine, Wolves, Black Bears, and Grizzly Bears.    OK, I admit, I used Alaska Standards.  Some of you guys need to realign your definitions like wise.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Sorry to hear some of your guns have not been dedicated.  Have they been slipping out with other shooters?   Ohhhhh, now I get what you mean.  I think that would be a very nice dedicated yote gun.  Now if you can just get the yotes to go along with the plan.....

Mornin Richard!!

VERY nice looking shootin' iron you got there!!  ;)

My own is a stainless/nickel 223 HB with green/checkered PW stocks. Mine is a great shooter with 1/2" groups at 100 yards!!  Hope yours is a shooter too!

MAN DO I LIKE THEM STOCKS!!!!!
