For those who advocate breaking up the US.
Sectionalism is an American heritage--it starts at the city level and even smaller, in citys.
It is a cherished thing and we gather into this base, wheather we understand what we are doing or not. It may be golfers or hunters or birdwathcers. Heck it may be German or Chek, black, white, yellow or brown.
You cannot break up the states nad do away with sectionalism.
The mid-west will always be a cultural mid-west.
West Texas is a far different culture form E texas.
Diversity is what makes this nation so much different from small European countries. I would eve go so far as to say that China is fraught with sectionalism.
The old South was still faught with sectionalism between states and within states. See the high country and low country Virginia.
Breaking up the sates will not bring all into line within the new state.
