Firearm owner identification card
« on: February 27, 2011, 03:13:57 AM »
I just renewed my card, probably for the last time now that they are for ten years.I noticed that out of the last four renewals they have put my drivers license photo and signature instead of using the picture and signature on the form that was sent in.I wonder what happens to those photos that are sent in?

I bet the form hasn't changed much since driver license were put on line. It would also reduce confusion for kids needing a FOID vs. adults.

I wondered that myself. The only thing I can come up with is it is just another way to verify who is filling out the application. I'm not saying it is a way to verify it but that's the only thing I could think of.

Empty Quiver and GRIMJIM would both be correct as DL pictures are used to confirm who you say you are.

The pictures that you send in will stay with the original application which is always filed.
