I'm making bullets to be paper patched for a .44-77 Sharps BN cartridge. Patched diameter is 0.4375" = bore of rifle. The nose profile is pretty close to a 1-E ogive with a 0.200" meplat, and a cupped base. I can swage 350-650 grains - depending on alloy used. Dies are rated for 1:25 max alloy. I doubt I'll ever go above 1:30.
My rig is a Corbin CSP-2 press, a Corbin Core Swage die and a Corbin Point Form die.
I have been using an adjustable mould by KAL that drops very good quality bullets once you find the sweet spot. But the perfection of the bullets created by swaging is unbelievable!
