Cabin 4 Thank you, I would be remiss if I didn't mention dukkillr,gypsyman, wncchester, Junior 1942, powderman, and beerbelly. Your posts have inspired me along with the other afore mentioned posters to again get politically involved after sitting on the sidelines for awhile.

I can remember back in the 1980's sitting on a debate panel with five other panelists being the only one that was pro-gun at a university discussion on whether to push for more or total gun control.  As they say we've come along way baby.

I'm still clinging to my guns and my religion, and really holding on tight to my wallet. As a matter of fact the last cold spell we had here, I was in the big city and saw a unionized liberal walking down the sidewalk with his hands in his own pockets.

Well as some of you know I'm a retired school teacher I taught for 38 years. Out of my pension I have to pay for health insurance for both myself and my wife.It amounts to around 12 thousand a year.  I don't feel I have to defend my job to those who know nothng about me. Every first of the month I get my retirement check and if some of you don't like it - OH WELL.

We have a RIGHT to know everything. We are tax payers and we pay your salary. You work for us. We don't work for YOU.

Thats the problem with the public sector. They have simply become entitled to things we in the private sector have always had to deal with. Just raise the pay and benefits, those stupid tax payers will get it shoved down thier throats.

Ok. FYI- I'm a male, 6ft 185lbs. Live in a house with my wife and cat. Frankie- that's the cat's name.Drive a truck. Like to fish, hunt, photography,gardening,drinking beer, had a hemmoroid removed and I watch NASCAR. Care to share Cabin??

NO. Becasue I don;t care to know that stuff. What I do have a right to know is what any public sector jobs pays. As a tax payer, I have that right and I have a right to influence it. After all, Its my money first, not yours.
Well you said everything.That's usually public info. You have a obligation to know. Look it up. Didn't know you paid my salary since I live near the east coast. No wonder your upset, but thanks for giving me a nice retirement.Who you voting for in the next Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey elections.

XD part of the parasites salaries are funded by the federal tax dollars stolen from the producers of GDP.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

Jimster;
    You provided some sage advice and did it without rancor.  My opinion goes this way, but it is just  my 2 cents.  You placed most of the blame where it more appropriately belongs, with the unions.  That doesn't leave the teachers guiltless, because we have been repeatedly reminded how 'educated' they are, so thus, they have no valid alibi as to why they allowed such immoral activities to continue.
     Surely, any one element of this tri-partite cabal could have stopped this ruthless money-magnet machine from fleecing the taxpayers, but it appears that for some reason the unions, politicians and teachers let it continue cutting a swath through the earnings of the taxpaying public.  I tend to look at the majority fault as lying at the final tax-dollars receivers, the politicians, then the unions and lastly, with the teachers; however any one of those three could have stopped it..at least that's the way I see it.

   Now, I don't presuppose that all teachers are on such a gravy train.  Guzzijohn says he's not even a union member, and his renumeration and benefits are quite modest. I don't believe he is alone in this either, and I'll take his word for it.   All the more reason  I  wonder, why the few teachers not involved in the money-magnet machine would so stridently reinforce the claims of those who have been  "fleecing the flock".
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

I'll answer because of the tone of your question. I'm a registered republican. I know some of you will call me a RINO because I don't follow your ideology. Some here like to name call for lack of being able to carry on an intelligent debate. I am against things that liberal democrates stand for and I'm against things the the right wing Teaparty stands for. I look at the facts and make up my own mind as to what to believe and how to vote. I watch many news shows to get a broad perspective to base my opinions. I guess that makes me an independent??

Yes, once the host dies, what will those thung parasites do? Maybe they can get the chief communist thug of the AFLCIO to come in and help them find a new host to attach too.
