STRIPER SEASON

It's finally March. I'll be searching for stripers in a few weeks. Hope the weather cooperates.

Our striper season is coming to a close.  We fish off NC and VA in the ocean.  Fish average 30 lbs and have to be 27" to keep.  In the spring they migrate into the rivers.  Fishing in the ocean is legal out to three miles.  Fish feed on menhayden.

I fish the Cheasapeake. The fish follow the herring. Both are on their spawning runs.

Umbrellas all have shiny new shad,new swivels on main line,planer boards cheked.
Mouth of Potomac to Solomons Island.
Best fish so far 44lb.
