krieghoff drilling
« on: March 03, 2011, 02:02:17 AM »
I have decided to spruce up my krieghoff drilling. I want to add a decelator pad, have the forend refinished, and the checkering recut.  ;D

As soon as I get my hospital bills paid, I'll tackle having a newer scope mounted in claw mounts.

There's a good gunsmith in Ketchikan. He does real nice stock work. I'll have him do the stocks.

When I get the scope done I'll get your recommendation.  I think you mentioned someone for that type of work.

My gunsmith called yesterday and said my guns are ready. Only problem is I'm in Seattle this week for my wifes medical needs. Hopefully I'll get home next week and pick the guns up on my way through Ketchikan.
He recutting the checkering on my drilling & installed a old English recoil pad. Also had him reshape & finish a 1950s marlin 39a stock. I like them a little slimmer than factory stocks in those days.

That's the nice things about cell phones dosen't matter where your at you still get the call.

I'm really not very computer literate. Taking the pictures is no problem but posting is. My son in law who is fair with a computer could not post them either. In bush Alaska I guess even DSL is slower.

When I get home I'll take some pictures if you don't mind posting them. I'll send them to ya.
