99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

When did WWII end? Why do we still have troops there?

Any murder is to many but lets put this in perspective. In 2009 in the world counting ALL terrorist related deaths ( not all were by Muslims) the average death rate was four a day (CNBC). The average street gang related death rate per day in 2009 in just the USA was 40 (Wikipedia). Which one is the bigger threat??? If you say the Muslims you have a weird way of doing math.

I've always liked this type of analysis.  For instance in Kansas City there was a very high profile rape and murder many years ago of a cute affluent teen.  The news would carry stories about how people were afraid to leave their homes and rushing out to take personal defense classes.  But then you realize that you are thousands of times more likely to be killed in a car accident and no one is rushing out to take defensive driving classes.

It's not that terrorism (or murder) is a good thing, but it's that I've always thought one should be afraid in proportion to the chance it's actually going to get you.

Oh yeah I love apples to oranges comparisons too!

Street gangs-avoid unsavory inner-city areas and chances are slim that you will be gunned down in street gang violence.

Muslims-chances are also slim that you will be killed by an islamic terrorist but unfortunatley they seem to have a penchant for targeting areas/activities that it isnt always easy for the average person to avoid-public/mass transportation, large gatherings of people such as shopping centers and religious services.

Street gangs-unless you are a member of a rival gang -random acts of violence

Muslims-plan and execute acts of violence based on the maxiumum amount of casualties they can inflict, although incidents like the Fort Hood shooting and the dirt bag gunning down airmen in germany seem to be random acts. But who knows for sure?

I just look at apples.  I try to base my fear of a given incident or demise on the chance it will happen to me.  Am I unlikely to be killed by a gang member?  Of course.  Am I less likely to be killed by a muslim terrorist?  Probably.  Am I many thousand times more likely to be killed in a car accident?  Absolutely.  It just puts concerns in the context of reality.

Not that that getting shot by a gang member or blown up by a terrorist is good, just that I've always felt it was important to worry in proportion to reality.

The problem with y'alls little comparison is, these others examples are not planning on taking over the world. Few if any of you have been in the middle east and have seen the cancer of islam first hand. Trust me it is a cancer and it is spreading.

Yeah, funny how stacks of dead bodies seem to go hand in hand with that religion.

As far as I know islam is the only cult that wages war on the entire world. I think some of you enablers need to take a few under you bosom and nourish and guide their poor misunderstood, godless  lives. Most of those gangs kill are other armed gangs. The godless ones plan attacks worldwide to murder hundreds and thousands unarmed folks at a time. No comparison. POWDERMAN.   :o :o :o :o :o :o

Remember that proportionally it's most usually the seemingly unlikely things we over look that bite us in the back side.
That's how criminals and terrorist work they find those small holes in the fence  that didn't seem to have a probable reality.

Not an authority, only two weeks in Turkey in the mid 70's. Close friend spent two years there as AF security police. I'll take his word for it and none of its good.

Saw a news blurb today counting Juarez (across from El Paso) as more dangerous than Afghanistan.

Let Germany try the puke. Last I heard they didn't have plea bargains.

We do not need troops anywhere except our nation and its territory's. If we need troops somewhere else its because we are there to wup butt and come back home. Though I do believe in keeping mobile troops, i.e. naval fleet and its compliment of marines and our airborne capabilities.
