The problem is that some on this board do not hold Stewart in any higher esteem than we hold Beck and Rush.

They will not believe anything no matter how much of an expert the person is if it was on the Daily Show. Many of the minds here are as open as bank vault at 3a.m. on a Saturday morning.

What makes this person an expert? Just because they agree with the parasitic non GDP producing sector does not make them an expert.

Mirage- he is one of the smartest men I know. That's why only intelligent people agree to be on his show. Heck and limburger have repeatably turned down his open invitations. What are they afraid of. He would chew them up and spit them out.And is isn't a drug addict as were Heck and Limburger.

She's all about selling a book, for crying out loud! "Expert" Yep! As a salesman for the Book of Liberal leaning.

Go back to the 50's in this country, when we (DID) lead the world in education. Before teachers unions and back when the department of education was located down the hall at the door that read.........Principal, and the Board of education was held in his hand. If we wanted fun, we joined the YMCA or went to see a baseball game. We were sent to school to learn.........Not to have fun.

I think the real reason for recess was to give the teachers a break

+1 nw_hunter. Her figure for average salaries is the bottom line hint of all their agenda. The head of the school board in WA DC offered the teachers a chance to make up to six figures a year. Based on merit, experience and results. All they had to do was to sign off on no tenured teachers. The union wouldn't let them vote on it, basicaly held them hostage under cohersion and duress.Theres only one thing teachers unions are expert at....................................

They may need a break. Being with 20-30 elementry students or teenagers, anyone would need a break. Ever think the children with their very short attention spans need a break also.So they could burn off some energy and refocus. I don't know what you do to earn a living, but when I did factory work, there was a 10 o'clock and a 2 o'clock break. They were mandatory.

As for selling a book. Using your logic, let's never believe what the people on Fox have to say, because a few of them have been know to try and sell a book at at least on one occasion.

As to your fifties statement- yes let's go back to the time of Ward and Beaver. Where dad worked and mom was at home to make sure the children did what they were supposed to.Before drugs and violence took over this country.

20 to 30 students? LOL! My Grandmother taught me in the first grade. She taught though grade nine. Not sure how many there were total, but I'm sure 30 would be a small estimate. We were bussed to a grade school my second year.

Today we have paid teachers aids. My best friends wife works as one, I think for third grade.Not sure what her qualifications are, but I know she has some college.No paid summer vacation, or retirement. Just SS. My Grandmother had a High school diploma and a certificate from the state to teach through grade 9. The teachers used the more advanced students to tutor the slower learners.
That system worked well, and didn't cost the taxpayers a dime.

So that is what is wrong with our education system. To many students don't have food, housing and health care. Just what we need, more experts like her.

You must mean the 1850s since the National Education Association was founded in 1857. Just saying.

There are thousands of Mennonites within a 30 mile circle of my house and around 300 in the church I attend. I think I know a REAL Mennonites.

Anyone can produce an expert to say what ever you want them to say, if you pay them well! Look at the courts, both the prosecution and defense put forth experts with opposite opinions everyday!
As far as I am concerned their testimony is useless!
