Well if your travels take you down to VIrginia beach drop on by for a visit, I'll give you a tour
of LBT where we make some of the finest tactical gear our troops can get, and I'll introduce
you to someone with some interesting cannon too....

Gee KABAR2, sure would like to bust in on that invite you are offering.   Don't know when, but every few years we get to Chesapeake to visit a childhood friend that my wife grew up with in Ireland.   The last trip we saw the Battleship Wisconsin and the Maritime Museum in Newport News.  Hope to see you in the future.

The sorta every once in a while BPM&C Moderator  meeting was conducted at the Kimono  Japanese restaurant in Pulaski...have we got some plans for you guys!! Next regularly scheduled meeting is when it occurs, maybe sooner, maybe later.

Tomorrows leg takes us to Leonardtown  Maryland and the grandkids, where we will sit for a about a month.

The return leg will take us through PA, OH, IN, IL, MO, IA, and SD. Of course that is subject to change.

Got the chance to meet DD and his better 2/3's  today as they passed through Knoxville.  She is so sweet you can't really imagine her married to the terror of the board.   Also was introduced to  #24 and I'm green with envy, such an extraordinary little piece of engineering and manufacture.  I in turn introduced it to my 24 lb Coehorn that went to the range today for exercise.  Really enjoyed talking to both of them, you seldom get to actually meet the folks you  corespond with on boards like this. What a pleasure to find they are as nice as you thought!  Stop back some time and we'll hit Chickamauga.

This thread is like when someone steals one of those winged gargoyles out of someone's yard and takes it on vacation with them , taking pictures of it at the Grand Canyon, the St. Louis Arch, the Washington monument, etc.  After vacation it goes back to the original owner with a copy of all the pictures. ;D ;D

Douglas, When you go to Quantico, try to get someone on the staff there to show you the old artillery that was in the old museum. I was told the old stuff was put in storage. The only thing I saw in the new museum that was from the old one was the WW11 pack howitzer with wooden wheels. They had several very fine early landing cannon and machine guns there.

Just beyond the entrance of the new museum.

Rick,

Post me contact info in a P.M.

Tim,  I have been to Timomium, i loved and I hated it.  I loved all the cool stuff there, I hated the amount of numbers they use to make a price tag.

Almost made it.  At 10pm on Friday night we were 175 miles into the 325 mile trip and the radiator gave in.  Crashed for the night and in the morning with bottle of stop-leak made it home before dark.

Years ago Navy Arms imported a bunch of the odd calibers and gauges -new made from South America where they are still being used,
I think the 41 and 32 rim fire they had was also imported from South America.

Just got back from meeting with DD his lovely wife and Rick
for lunch and touring the Yorktown Battlefield museums had a great visit and I think a few people did a double take at what was sitting in the
back of Rick's pickup truck..... DD will be adding photo's of the meeting of the Krupps soon.......
