45 Colt Auto aftermarket trigger

What is a good Colt 45 Auto aftermarket trigger?  What do gunsmiths typically charge to install them?

I would get a Chip McCormick trigger and sear set and replace them yourself - should take about 2.5-3.5 minutes.  I believe that a gunsmith would probably charge by the hour.

Here we go.
There are many, many, many triggers out there.
I like Wilsons---it takes some fitting.
There is a lot more to this trigger business than first meets the eye.
what kind do you want kinda depends on what you are doing. Mine are carry. I like short GI triggers. SVI makes a good trigger group.
Mine are about 3 lbs.
I do no gunsmithing of my own.
Mikey knows how to do this stuff---I know how to write a check.
Blessings

Anything that is drop in is not the best fit you can get as a rule. If your trigger fits you why not have a smith adjust travel and let off ?

I just wanted to improve the pull.  I'm not a competition shooter.  A gunsmith would do the work.  What is a good trigger set for the money?

I like 4 lbs with no creep , no grit and little if any over travel. I like solid triggers so trash can't get in . I don't like trigger stops .
$40.00 and up depending on what needs to be done around here.

I picked up a new three hole trigger for just $9.99 from www.cdnninvestments.com  and installed it in my norinco.  I did add moly to the orginal sear.  I also stoned and filed the new trigger when i checked it for sharp corners were it goes around the mag area.  I also checked and filed the area in the frame for flatness and burrs were the space is where the trigger operates in.  I had no problem installing it.  Now my trigger is awesome.  I also installed the national match barrel bushing too from CDNN too but thats another story/post. If we install a new sear it needs to be fitted properly to the mating parts.  This requires tools/fixtures to make sure the sear surfaces are square to each other.   CZY

You could just try lubing the orginal trigger/ sear with moly.
