223 Rem., 24" Bull barrel on a SB2 Receiver?
« on: March 08, 2011, 10:46:15 AM »
Can i put a 223 Rem., 24" Bull barrel pn: 823 on a SB2 Receiver?  it's listed under the ultra rifle page on H&R website.  they state:

All model SB2 Handi-Rifles™ can be fitted with the rifle barrels listed below, as well as with shotgun barrels previously listed. Model SB1-Pardner® shotguns cannot be fitted with any rifle barrels. All barrels are blue finish only.

Yes, the 223 24" bull can be fit and should only be fitted to a SB2 receiver.  See the FAQs regarding barrel fitting.  Also, depending on the year of manufacture of your SB2, H&R may or may not fit this barrel  to your SB2 receiver.  All this and more in the FAQs.

As stated, yes the 24" bull will fit, had one installed on my SB2 about 4 years ago.  It will weigh in around 8 lbs without a scope.  Mine has been extremely accurate with reloads, right at 1" with factory.
