Torpedoman: Another month and my yard will look like that, with the same trespass problem. The cows will be looking for a place to calve. Hope they don't pick my yard again. I have a small pond out back and they think it is a great place to raise their calves. Problem there is our back yard is off limits for the summer. We have to walk like we are on egg shells till she decides to leave the area.
Two years ago, an old cow decided to raise her offspring back there. She chased me a couple of times, but I was always on the lookout for her. She became very aggressive as the summer went on. When school started in August she chased the school kids away from the bus stop. Parents called and complained to the troopers. That afternoon a Trooper responded and pulled up in the drive next door. The woman over there was yelling at him to nget back in his car and drive closer to the house. He did not understand her and suddenly here came the old cow. The trooper heard something behind him and when he turned around he lost his footing in the gravel and fell. Suddenly there is a big cow right over him. He pulled his Glock, and emptied it point blank into her chest. She fell on top of his legs. I heard the shooting and got there in time to see him trying to get his legs free. He was free and moving by the time I reached him. Bet he is a little more careful next time he gets a Irrate Moose call.
