One of my retirement dreams is to get a small lathe and milling machine then learn how to used them for all the little projects that I've always wanted to do...  I think Handi spacers, trigger guards and maybe sights would be near the top of the project list.

I'm thinking my .45-70 could use a few extra ounces for when I get to exploring those full power loads.  Right now the cat sneeze to gallery loads I'm making now aren't enough to even thinking about flinching over...

Go for it!   The small lathes and mills are pretty nice and will allow you to do more than you would think possible.  Look at that job Quick did turning a round barrel into an octagon and on a small mill.   Just takes some determination.

Nice work Metaldoc. I'm happy to hear your still with us.

Are all spacers the same size for rifles? (SB1 - SB2)
I know some parts are sometimes not the same.
ie 45/70 to a smaller bore rifle.
