Except for a tour of duty in vietnam I've worked in banks my entire life-I'm now 67 and have a nice office. I really don't work hard anymore but I do collect a nice pay check. I tell them I'm going to see a client but usually I keep my fishing gear in the back of the car and I go fishing. If, the weather is nice I go skeet shooting-life is good. I tried retirement awhile back but being with the old lady 24/7 was more work than work.

Started in a cabinet shop right out of high school. Spent two days sanding putty on doors and hated every minute of it. Now after 27 years of cabinet making and general carpentry I'm shop steward at a Chicago area exhibit house. I have to work ungodly hours sometimes to make a decent living but that's what I get for goofing off in high school.

I've got thirteen years to go until I can retire with a full pension so I have some time to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. ;)

Started pipefitter apprenticeship in 92.  Have been welder since doing natural gas pipeline construction since.  Tried a short stint as a firefighter hoping to be home more but had to work two jobs because firefighters don't earn enough. Went back to welding and still work part time as a firefighter.
