.357 Talo Range report
« on: March 09, 2011, 01:16:38 PM »
First trip to the range with my new .357 Talo Trapper HandiRifle. I was using the open sight at 25 and 50 yards (scope on order), but I was very pleased with the grouping. As I was breaking it in and getting to know the gun, I did not measure, but one group was within the second ring using various of my handloads. The potential seems to be there. Two issues, the trigger pull is very stiff and opening the action also. I assume these will get better with use.

I've been thinking of getting one of those.  It does sound promising. I know I can't do any good with iron sights. Oh and welcome.

Yeah, it gets better.
You might put a little hinge pin lube on the front crosspin; and the forearm spacer might be a tad too tight, but try a little silicon lube under it at the knuckle first.
About 500 rounds, orcarefully dampened dry firing in an evening will work out the trigger some; its in the FAQs.
Oh, and BTW, now that you are here its kinda like The Hotel California.
