Cap'n Crunch sails into obscurity


Cap'n Crunch was once the No. 1 breakfast cereal, but pressure from the White House and health activists is having an effect on how PepsiCo and other food companies peddle their products to kids. Sales of the cereal were down 6.8 percent in 2010.

Captain Crunch was my favorite cereal.  My mother would never let me eat it.  She made me eat healthy food.  I thank her for it now.

How can you blame Obama for this?

   It is probably not very good food..but one would think that a prez that has put us into a $15, 000,000,000,000 debt would have more important things to do..than to dictate food choices.. that is the parents' job..  Don't want or need a "Nanny state"..

The White House has released the menu for President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama's Super Bowl party. The President, who recently said he has love for the Pittsburgh Steelers, invited Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony and elected leaders from Wisconsin and Pennsylvania to the party. As for the beer selection, the AP writes:

President Barack Obama is turning again to fermented alcoholic beverages to find common ground between antagonists, this time fans of the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
For his Super Bowl party Sunday evening, Obama is offering Yuengling Lager and Light, brewed in Pennsylvania, and Hinterland Pale Ale and Amber Ale, all the way from Wisconsin. Independents can pour down some White House Honey Ale if they like.
