Crappie fishing
« on: December 23, 2003, 07:22:42 AM »
I'm hoping that crappies move around alot?? Where I fish I occasionally catch crappies some are the size of a 5 gallon bucket lid but not often they seem to come and go(I'm fishing from shore) its a dropoff.  The only bait I have used so far is a Mr Twister small milktruese jig and its an awesome bait so far.  I have also tried small tubes too.  Is there anything else thats a hot bait for crappies too?  Since I have two additions that were dumped in the woods near me to my pet family(2 kittens) thats two more hungry mouths to feed now.  I never take any fish home that often but I may take a few now to feed the kittens can food is costing a lot now.   I don't panfish that often but i will now.                            BigBill

the thing about crappie that drives me nuts is just how finicky they can be.  either they will hit, or they wont.  most times they wont.  and even in a lake with a healthy population, they can be hard to find.   i use small minnows, and a really light bobber.
