hammer extension??
« on: March 10, 2011, 04:23:55 AM »
Can anyone recommend a good hammer extension?  Getting my new Encore ready and after mounting the scope, there is no way I can uncock it. Can barely cock it as well.  Leupold recommended medium rings and I think I should have went with the high's.  Thanks in advance.....

Send it to T/C and they'll install a swing hammer for you.  Other types of hammer extensions are prone to cause hammer breakage and misfires.

I use Carlson's on all of my contenders, but I also have installed heavy hammer springs in them too. The extensions can occasionally cause misfires otherwise. I've never broken a hammer because of one.
