Yes, Tony, the CH suppressors do work. For one, they add mass to the shotgun and that softens recoil by itself. (This is the same reason I added 1/2 oz of lead to my .45 hardball magazines.) Further, the inertia action spreads recoil over a longer time, and that makes the recoil seem less. All the CH suppressors I've used were easily fitted in the existing stock cavity, but drilling a cavity should not be all that taxing. I would then wrap tape around each end of the CH to bring the diameter to a good fit to the cavity. Lastly I would make a spacer out of wood in case the cavity was too long since the CH needs to be a snug fit in order to work. The other way to attack the recoil problem is lighter payload weights and slower velocities.
