Maumee Valley Gun Show
« on: March 15, 2011, 06:42:35 PM »
The Maumee Valley Gun Collectors show is the last weekend of March at the Lucas Co. Rec. Center, Maumee, OH.  I believe Gypsyman will be there and Jedman and I plan on visiting early on Saturday morning.  Eyeshot, if you will make it maybe this time I can say goodbye before I leave the show, dang CRS.   Hopefully I can watch Bigdog 454 spend some more of  his hard earned money. ;D

Gotta make $ome more, but that 243 seems to shoot real good, haven't really wrung it out yet but will do that when the weather gets nice and warm.  put a 6.5 x 20 power scope on it.  at least I can see the target real good now all I;ll have to do is hit it.

Is this show worth a 125 mile drive, each way?

Catfish,

IMO, it is less of a show than Lima, or at least in years past this has been true.  This will be my first visit to this show in 3 or 4 years.  I can usually walk it and see all the tables in about 90 minutes.

Have not been to a gun show in 20+ years, but thinking of going to this one..Can I just walk in with guns or do they need trigger locks or need to be disassembled..Im in Fremont area so this is fairly close..I have some H&R stuff to sell..3 guns to sell or part out..Dont want to deal with shipping, would rather do face to face..address of fair grounds would be appreciated also, let garmin do the planning.. Thanks

Not sure of exact address but it is the Lucas County Recreation Center, Key Street, Maumee.  On Key Street just North of US 24 about a mile or so.  Last time I was there folks were walking around with intact firearms for sale without trigger locks.

BikerB, what time do you plan on getting to the Toledo Show?
The problem with the Tol show is most want as much for a use firearm as you can buy a new one.  But I have found some bargains there.

BD,

I think Jedman & I were planning on getting there fairly early, maybe around 9AM.   I am waiting to hear back from him.  Maybe if you can go meet at Jed's?

I'll be there. Going in tomorrow afternoon to set up. Catfish, just my opinion, but I don't think it would be worth the drive. 'Course with that being said, you might just stumble onto that one thing that you've been looking for. It's around a 250 table show. Like any other gun show, sometimes there is some good stuff to be found, and other times, nada!! 'Course my set up being worth the price of admission by itself, you wouldn't be cheated out of anything!! ;D ;D gypsyman
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman

Gypsyman,

Please put one of your cat targets where us old guys can see it.  Jedman & I will be there around 9am and I think Bigdog454 is coming also.

I have a very stupid question, when I go to a gun show with guns to sell do i need to put a for sale sign on or ask each dealer if they might be interested ? I went to Maumee today with 2 guns and no one even asked how much or anything..Last time I went to a gun show was 20+ years ago, and people asked what I had and how much I wanted..So im kinda out of touch..I did see the cat targets though pretty cool.

I saw a bunch of folks with guns but no signs.  I think you just have to walk up to dealers and start pushin' you product.  Probably depends on what you are carrying on how much attention you get.  I wanted one of Gypsyman's targets but I found some brass & dies I wanted and there went my target money.  Next time I will get one of his targets.
