My opinion, sounds like your using winning combination right now. I use Winchester 209's in my Encore. They work fine for me. In a hunting situation where your not shooting off a solid rest you'll never notice the occasional flyer " caused by using 209 primers??".

One downside to the conversion . After you fire one it has to be decapped and reprimed.

I'd save my money put it towards supplies. Bullets ,powder, and 209 primers.

I wouldn't worry about it. Most shoot 1" groups just as they are!

Only worth experimenting if you have something you feel you need to fix or improve. Is there?

You might buy an extra plug and try the .25ACP mod on it that one other feller here has done.  That way, if it fails, you are immediately back in business with 209s.
WHUT?

Why? The gun is already more accurate that most shooters can shoot! Okay, you love to tinker but the 209s are reliable and accurate.

I love to tinker as well. What has happened with the local bunch at the range, etc., more often than not is something like this:

Yep, bedded the action, floated the barrel, firelapped the barrel, had a trigger job, changed the bases, rings and scope. My gunsmith polished everything, the barrel was cryo'ed, and magnaported. Worked up some handloads. This gun shoots great!

How did it group before all that? What made the most difference? What was the "before and after"?

Huh?
