Double Tap .44 Special

I ordered a box today of their 180 grain jhp to use in my Charter Arms.  The web site states they are "standard pressure" loads, safe in any gun, but the ballistics for that round is 1150 fps and 529 ft. lbs.  What do you think?  Too much for a Charter Bulldog?  I've been carrying Speer 200 grn. Golddots, but in comparison, they seem a bit weak at 875 fps/340 ft. lbs.  For a reference point, Double Tap's +P 200 grain .45acp gets 1080 fps/518 ft. lbs.  I've fired a lot of 240 grain cast bullets over 6.5 grains of Unique in the Charter with no problem, but I'm wondering if she'll stand up to the Double Tap load.

I'd say no problem. I've been loading hard cast 180 grain full wadcutters at 1100 fps actual chronographed velocity from my 3" Bulldog. I don't shoot a lot of them because they are rather painful for me, inside of triggerguard scrapes the knuckle of my trigger finger, but the gun doesn't seem to mind.

I read somewhere there are 4 levels of strength for them . The newer the stronger.
