223 bull barrel diameter
«

Just ordered a 223 bull barrel rifle. Want to shorten barrel as soon as I get it. Does anyone out there know the diameter of this barrel. Also is it tapered at all. Thanks for any input.

I just got a brand new one
It measures .97 about 1" forward of the chamber and .76" at the muzzle.

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I can get it to fit my lathe chuck.

Np! I'm lopping 5" off mine as well. Mine will be primarily for reduced loads with SR 4759 and hornet bullets so I won't be losing any real fps
