A sad story....
« on: March 17, 2011, 03:58:15 PM »
My grandfather had a number of guns and a collection of old cartridges. I couldn't say what they were but a number of them were large rimfire rounds and it seems the bunch filled a cigar box. My dad eneded up getting them and did not seem to put any value on them, not being a hunter or especially interested in guns. Anyway, my older brother and I when we were about 12 and 13 years old pulled the bullets from the cartridges and used the powder to try and make firecrackers. The cases got crushed in a vice and the bullets got mutilated with pliers. Wish I had those now.
