Not count'n kids at rendezvous, I do host a "primitive camp" each spring for the local elementary school kids to visit as a "field trip". They are usualy full of questions in regards to,.... fire-start'n with flint'n steel, my buffalo-robe bed, contents of my shoot'n-bag, contents of my haversack, candle-lanterns, authentic trade-goods such as chocolate, tobacco, beads, butcher knives, tomahawks, flints, and etc.,.... and they each git to lay ther hands on various traditional-muzzleloaders.
We never have time dur'n each class's "visit" which lasts only an hour, to do any shoot'n,.... but I do pass out fliers to the kids, with the location of our local blackpowder club's shoot'n range. We have gained new members to our club due to the kid's desire to see the smoke "roll", and it helps pull in new traditional shooters (young kids and ther parents) because this "sport" is so family-oriented.
