did a little shootin the old 88
« on: March 19, 2011, 12:01:37 PM »
Hey All! Thought I'd show this little bit of shooting that those interested in .410 might like. 28 paces, and Winchester 2.5 inch slugs! Now this is the first I've shot this old gun in a long time, but goes to show the difference in slugs. Held the bead right at the bottom of that little square an put the Winchesters right in there. The hole at the top was the first slug and I was holding the bead way over. The next was with Federal 2.5 inch slugs. I found after the first two shots I needed to hold the bead right on square in order to even hit it. Although the Federal's seem to have a little more energy, I would opt for the better accuracy of Winchesters. Cold day here with a stiff NW wind. Love that old model 88! scout4<><

I get the best accuracy out of my 410's with Remington sluggers. It looks like yours really likes the Winchesters though. ;D
That's some good shooting.
Gotta love a 410. ;D ;D
