Do I have the right idea here???

I would like a revolver that I can carry around with me while camping, or during deer season.
I would suggest one of the S&W lite weight 357 mag. There is a nice 6 inch gun out now . Its one they call a hunter. It would be a nice carry gun 22 ozs. ^ inch bbl would be a nice target gun with 38 spl. If you hand load the list of bullets and uses is endless. The lite weights are also in 44 , 44 mag and 45 . I know of one 44 spl. and the mentioned 357m are on the L frame and still small enough for easy cary. The 357 is a 7 shooter while the 44 spl is a 5 shot. There are alsi 2.5 and 3 inck 357 mag lite weight gun aval.
As it would seem you will carry more than shoot might as well be comfortable as possible while having the comfort of the revolver.
BTW I carry a 357m that weighs 12 ozs while hunting some.
