Tikka S/N ?
« on: March 19, 2011, 05:15:21 PM »

Hello all.
First post.
Been a member for awhile, I find most every thing I need  with search, but this time
I found out about a recall on Tikka rifles from 2004/2005 or so.

The ? I have is this, I picked up a Tikka T3 Lite SS in 6.5X55 SE same as NIB at a gun
show today  S/N  A93XXX  is this a newer gun or older from the recall years?

Thanks

Good for you.  Saved you some frustration having to send it in for repair.  I think the T3 in the Swede would be a wonderful rifle to carry and would be effective on just about any game animal in North America.  Good luck with it.
Yeah, I'm a rifle looney

Hay All,
I got a chance to go to the range and shoot my Tikka T3 in 6.5X55 with
Two factory loads, first was Winchester 140gr. Power points they averaged
2416 fps and shot a little over 2in. at 100yd.

Next was Prvi-Partzan 139gr. Soft point they averaged 2467 fps and shot a
0.940in. group, I would like to try this again in next few days to see if it was a fluke
Or if I can repeat it.

Thanks

Sounds good, but you probably won't be able to repeat. It will probably shoot better next time!  ;)

Hay all,
Got to shoot the rest of the Prvi-Partizan for the brass, 17 rounds over one and
one-half hours went into 1.687in. at 100yds.

Next trip to the range with reloads of 46.5gr, IMR 4831 Prvi-Partizan brass and
Hornady 129gr. Interlock soft point Avg. 2751 FPS and shot 5 into 0.958in. at 100 yds.

Big smile on my face. Hope it will continue to do that each time

Thanks
