Hia Folks
As I cannot gather from the ruger site anything describing the grip-frame, I thought to ask here.
Is the grip frame on the NVB-444/445-spcl (smaller framed flat-top) patterned close to the XR-3, or does it have the usual XR-3 RED size?

The flat top and the New Vaquero use a grip frame "closer" to the old XR-3 grip but there does seem to be a lot of variation among individual guns as to exact grip fit and the Ruger black plastic grips don't seem to exactly fit anything.

Thanks for the link, that's very useful. The only other thing folks need to know is that the grip frame is assembled to the cylinder frame and the two pieces are then finished as a unit. For that reason swapping grip frames from one cylinder frame to another will likely result in neither fitting quite perfectly.
