Broken forearm stud

I have an older pardner barrel that the forearm stud is broken off of. I no longer have the stud. Is there a fix for this or is this barrel a lost cause? I searched the FAQ and called H&R CS, but neither was much help. This is my first gun I ever owned, so I would like to get this barrel functioning again.

Any help would be great.
