QLA question
« on: December 24, 2003, 09:25:25 AM »
This may be a dumb question but does the QLA on my 209-50 mean there is no crown on my barrel? When I look closely at the end of the barrel the machine work on it looks like it has an uneven taper.Isthis unusual or should I send the barrel back to TC?Thanks,MDH

QLA question

Mark, you might want to ask this question on the "Modern Inline Muzzleloading Rifles" forum. A lot of guys are having custom work done to their factory barrels which entails cutting off the OLA and recrowning the barrel. That QLA on the end of the ML barrels can make it hard to get good consistent groups. Looks as though it's just a marketing gimmick and the TC's might be more accurate without it.
