Consider that you typical NYS upstate conservative would have carefully stepped over Cuomo if he was laying bleeding in the gutter. At least pre-election. Everyone seems to love him now.

Yeah and if a Republican had been elected and had done the exact same things that Cuomo is doing, the Republican would be called Hitler and demonized by media until hell wouldn't have him/her.

Our Dumycrat Governor has denied teachers raises and made some cuts that would get a Republican run out of the state.  She gets a pass and the Republicans who agree with what she has done are blamed by the leaches and vermin--otherwise known as liberals.

 Magooch;
I was thinking the same thing this morning, after conversing with a group of conservatives (except for one lib)...and they are giving Cuomo credit for what he is doing so far ....and holding their breath.   It really struck me ...if that were a conservative governor doing the same thing..the lib sippers would be calling him/her Hitler, Mussolini and Pol Pot all rolled into one!  ;) ;D

Hey guys, let's get back on the subject!

Right Crusty;  Let's get back to the subject...

   Ironglow said way back in post#35;

"Really, you ought to lay off the hair thing with Trump...it smacks of desperation.  Outside of mere good-natured jesting, that is true of any election when someone resorts to criticism of the candidates looks, clothes or skinny legs. It usually  means they have no rteal substantive points to make otherwise.
When we start to score hairlines, there are scores of world leaderrs who had NO HAIR !  THat brings to mind the one who probably is the greatest statesman of the 20th century...Winston Churchill.  See, ... hair/no hair..makes no difference".

The real question is; how will Trump compare to Obama.  Trump has already proven he can maintain a budget and run a giant business empire.  He has said he will not bow & scrape for Muslim dictators and he is desirous to bring world respect back to the US.
What bugs you about him..his pro American, anti gay marriage, or pro second amendment stances ?

... As far as the hair thing...perhaps we should 'grow up' a bit..
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

After reading about some of Trump's donations, not sure he would make a good choice. Seems like he flip flops quite a bit. Covering his butt from both sides, Dem's and Rep. Although I think he's make a good advisor for whoever runs. I think he see's whats happening in this country. And he realize's, times are coming where people will be fighting for a scrap of food or gallon of gas, instead of spending money at one of his casino's. gypsyman

Palin just asked the press to stop picking on Trump and his birther comments. Given that he talks about his teams of investigators finding all sorts of stuff, what was the point of that?

The fact that he even appeals to some republicans shows what a sorry state the republican party is in. If they blow the election don't blame anyone other than the rebublican party.

The same thing could be said of Obama and the Dems. I guess it's just a matter of personal opinion.
I try to base my opinions on facts.
I like alot of what Trump says.
I don't agree with everything he says.
I don't think I can trust him.
I would rather see someone else as a candidate to vote for.
But as far as I know, Retired Colonel Allen West is not running.................

If the government had as much money as Trump has ego; we would be out of debt. Just as the debt is growing larger every day, so is Trumps ego.

I don't mean to be sparring with you or anything, but, the same thing could be said of Obama too.
As a matter of fact,..........I think it already has!   ;D

I'm not defending Trump. You are right about his ego!

Then you go on to complain about Trump's ego...haven't you noticed the "spoiled little boy" ego whic infects BHO..it overshadows Trump and anyone else upon the national scene.

Not hardly Guzzi;  Trump as already said he would not be kissing the hands......or any other part ..of Muslim dictators.

Of course, the Muslim dictators aren't the only ones he kisses up to...he gets along quite well with the communists (Chavez & Castro) also... :o

Happy to put a smile on your face. The fact is Obama won the last election and he is the man to beat in the next. I  only state the fact that if republicans can back Trump for president than you ain't gonna beat Obama. that was my point. And  as I said many times before, if the Democrates are soooo bad than the Republicans should win easily- if they pick the right candidate.   It's there for the taking. If the republicans lose they only have themselves to blame. I don't think anyone can argue that that.

GuzziJohn

All the 'ankle biters' I've worked with, worked hard to keep the herd moving in the right direction and sort out the culls in the herd. Sometimes ferocious and without fear taking on opponents many times their size in order to reach the desired goal and bring that opponent into submission.
They are tough and un-relenting, showing more stamina than their foe.
Their bite might seem small but it still draws blood and has an influencing effect on the opponent ending in the control of said opponent. Even if said opponent does get angry, stomp, kick, snort, bellow, have a fit and blow snot while shaking their head in defeat.
Dodging the charges, kicking, head butting and attempts to run over the 'ankle biter', being more swift and cunning than his opponent, he wins in the end...........We call them healers where I come from!   ;D

Dems on the other hand might be likened to a pack of mangy cur that run together in packs called 'organizations'.
Like Democratic Socialist, American Communist, SEIU, ACLU, Code Pink, New Black Panthers and many others.
Running in packs creating chaos and vandelizing private property. Yelling obscenities, denigrating minorities that don't join them and causing normal people to be repulsed.
They are lazy and don't want to work for a living, like the heeler, but instead choose to take from others.
They sneak into your place eat some of your chickens and kill the rest for fun, chew up your stuff and take a dump before they leave.
Instead of making your life better, like the heeler, they make your life worse.
They are no good to mankind or themselves and are constantly on the run.
They are often full of diseases................We shoot them where I come from!    >:(

Ya, agree on the ego thing for sure.

If the government had as much money as Trump, they would spend 8 times more, so without a logical budget it wouldn't matter how much money the government has.  Matter of fact, when there were more tax payers the gov. took in 2.6 trillion per year, so really, they do have as much as Trump!

Social Security is the only support program that workers pay into all their working years.  The funds have been used in the redistribution schemes. All the people who draw from this program who never paid into it. The government has borrowed fro these funds and never paid them back. It is time to pay back the money the money is gone.  The left wingers are now claiming its an unfair pay out.  When the teamsters union got caught stealing retirement funds they were find and jailed.  Why not lock up all living presidents for the last 50 years.

Actually, I don't think Trump will be the candidate, I'm not even that sure he's really interested.
I hear the TV talking heads all saying "there are no outstanding people challenging BHO"..  That may be true for now..but they don't HAVE  to be very special, to be a great leap ahead of BHO !

Michelle mentally speeds around them..nipping their dull, numb brain-ankles at every step... ;) :D

BTW:   Michelle was just selected by TIME magazine as one of the world's "100 most influential people"..

If that's true and the Republicans pick another loser to run- what does that say about the republicans ? 1. not very smart. 2. they don't have anyone better than Obama. 3.They just don't get it 4. all the above.
