TM7 ~ The no-fly zone and the bombing of Libya have nothing to do with the protection of civilians. It is an act of war a blatant and crude attempt by the oil corporations and international bankers to steal the wealth of Libya.

TM; In part, I agree that what Obama has done is an outright at of war.  A move that will not go un-punished.   Our country is already staggering from our past leaders bad decisions, and looks like it will continue its downward spiral until America as a whole decides to put a leader in office who will uphold the dignity that this nation was founded upon.  Until till then, fasten your seatbelts boys   :o cause we're in for the ride of our lives. :P

Sounds like the re make of the Ottoman Empire. WW I was their end and it sounds like they want it back.

The Ottoman Empire was just an unpleasant blip on the radar screen, in the latter years of the history of Israel..

Not only Libya, but Pakistan wants Obama to be the Supreme Leader of the Muslim world.
U.S. Muslim Leaders say Obama is their Mesiah.  Not only that, but Jesse Jackson junior says the Holy Bible needs to add another chapter concerning Obama.  Others are saying Obama needs to change the 'Time/Date' status from BC / AD to BO / AO.   Things are liable to get real exciting before long.

   Another Libbie hypocrisy;

Starting back with Desert Storm, a far leftist website was set up...crying.. " No blood for Oil".  They made a big fuss for many years, mewing about the wars being driven but ME oil...
Now that B Hussein has ordered strikes and bombing attacks upon the oil-rich nation of Libya, one would expect all kinds of screaming about "NO BLOOD FOR OIL"..

So, I clicked onto their website;  http://www.nobloodforoil.org/

I didn't see anything about any oil or any war...just some animal rightser chatter about wolves... :D ;D ;D :P :-[

So now NATO is killing civilians, imans praying peace actually, yet we are hammering Ghadafi for killing his own people. Of course he is killing his own people, they are attacking him, it is an INTERNAL issue. Too stupid.

It will be no different than Egypt, a terrorist muslim takeover. While visiting an Army buddy in Texas we met his new neighbors, they were recent refugees from Egypt, they are Christian and were tatooed with a cross on their right wrist. The muslim brotherhood is tageting them for extermination.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

I think that there is so much involved here that the average person would shudder if all of it was known. The league of nations, now the UN, has been rearraging the middle east for decades, moving their "gaming pieces" across the board until the real people have just had enough. The demonstrations are just the beginning. Now the UN/governments are trying to play catch up and helping out who they think will be the winning teams. Double standards and hypocrisy in the matter thrown aside. As long as the "new team" plays by the NWO orders, everything will be just fine. As seen, any nation that is used for a stepping stone to achieve the desired results bu the NWO crowd can be thrown under the bus whenever their usefulness plays out.

The NWO crowd, One World Gov't, whatever you want to call it is going to get to a point where the only argument is going to be, who is going to sit in the big chair. Then all hades is going to break loose. Us peons, the servile tax paying filth, matter not at all.

This is the reason why I say, demican/republicrats, different trains, same destination.  Now it is evidenced by the actions of the neocons and libercons. Whatever name you want to use, the outcome will be the same. All IMO based on my observations. YMMV

TM, thanks for researching more than most. It prooves interesting. Alot of good descriptions from alot of good folks here.

I'm sure Israel is looking on with interest and double checking the firing mechanisms on their nuke missiles.

Really a peace lovin' bunch of people. Who would they want to nuke over there. It is pretty crowded and close to their own nest.
Actually I see them more in working on continuing the action in Libya, after all it means a lot more $$ for them every day this continues..

The great one in washington has spoken as he was directed by his boss the U.N. who authorized the use of american forces in combat just like it says is necessary and required  in our constitution .

As I understand, the sixty day period of the executive order to get involved with Libya is getting to an end. It needs Congressional approval to continue after that period.

In response to why doesn't the military refuse to go?

................. Anyone who has ever served has not always agreed with those orders but has carried them out................................

That sure didn't work for those in the Nuernberg Trials and similar to the Japanese..that got the noose....................oh wait, they were on the loosing side so that Orders are Orders  didn't apply to them. :(

America needs to stay out of this.  Those Tyrants have to strong-arm the people to keep them from killing each other.   Just look at Iraq and Egypt since those two tyrants have been overthrown .  Increase of crimes against Christians alone have skyrocketed .  40% of refugees fleeing Iraq alone are Christian.  It's totally insane .  God help us.

scatterbrain,
Your rationale is quite incorrect.  While it usually seems that way, there is a difference between lawful orders and unlawful orders.  If you check through the Nuremberg Trials, you will probably find cases where a soldier shot/killed someone "illegally" during the war, but was not hanged because of circumstances.
Refusing deployment would be a violation of lawful orders.

OSR:

I wasn't writing about rank an file troops in the example of the Nuernberg Trials which didn't deal with them anyway.

Refusing an Order during wartime usually ends up with a firing squad regardless of whose army you are in. There aren't all that many armies in the world even today that make much of a distinction between lawful and unlawful orders. It is left up for interpretion at the very local level including the disposition of those that refuse those Orders.

I realize in the present circumstances deals with a undeclared war.
