When i walked into the gun shop the super blackhawk with the 10 1/2'' barrel caught my eye right away and the shine off of the vaquero had me torn on which one to purchase. After a few days of going back and forth looking at them thinking i had to purchase both. I figure in there like new condition, plus there still tight so they weren't shot too much with the used prices i got two guns at the cost of one new one. It was a two'fer purchase as i call it. These were down lower on my gotta have list but there checked off now.
I noticed the vaquero is no longer offered with the 7 1/2'' barrel. I may have something special to a ruger collector. I'll shoot but i'll be very careful with it not to hurt the finish. Now i need the ruger blackhawk in 45 long colt to play and maybe hunt with too. The gun shop had the blackhawk's in 45 long colt but i didn't take a close look i was blinded by the vaquero. I go browsing for one thing and come home with another. I'm price shopping too. CZY
