I have been a shotgunner since I was old enough to shoot and with the exception of my .22 I didn't do much with rifles until recently.
My H&R .223 is the first scoped "long range" gun I have ever owned and I think I finally got the bugs worked out of my scope turret.
It was really cold again today and by the time I got to fire at the 300 mark I only had 5 shells left. I zeroed it at 200 and let them rip. I couldn't see where I was hitting so I just kept launching them.
Managed to put 2 on the paper, the other 3 hit just below the target, about 9 inches low but all on the same horizontal line (which I was also happy about)
The ammo was the $3 a box Russian stuff as well so I can't complain.
I know it isn't much compared to alot of people, but man was I happy to see the hole on the paper. Hopefully when it gets warmer out I can hone my skills a little without my fingers going numb.
This is the problem I was dealing with the first time. The top turret is the one they sent me with the scope, the bottom is actual MOA adjustments. My results at the range were perfect with the Hornady chart so I went ahead and added the 400 mark from the come up on the chart (like I'm gonna shoot at anything that far around here anyway
)
