Yep. Folks wanting too feel good about themselves. Later on, they can say, but it says in the Bible......................

Frankly, things like that are what influenced me to stop going to church. Acceptance of homosexuality, homo's being ordained (too prove that point), courts wanting/mandating(?) some verses silenced. I'm certainly not professing to be the best person around by any means, but I want inspiration in the sermons and lessons, not exclusion because they might offend someone. We used to call that "fire and brimstone" and "eternal damnation" preaching.

Don't give up Pat, there are still Churches out there that still teach the word at it was written. Mostly smaller congregations because too many people these days just want their ears tickled.

These are the same idiots that think the constitutuion is a fluid and dynamic document and that when it was written it did not really mean what it says and now too want to change history by changing the word of god to meet and align wiht their adgenda.
If they get the bible changed to the animals were here to befreind man and not serve man then they can point to the bible as a reason not to eat or wear them.

Our church is small but truth is preached there. If you could sit through a service and not know that there is a Heaven and certainly is a hell you would have to be dead to the world. After hearing Moms preacher a couple of weeks ago I've come to the conclusion that there are few REAL preachers in the world. There are a lot of Bible teachers with planned and written out lessons but very few who preach in the spirit, meaning no planned or written sermon, just opening the mouth and letting God talk. I read the other day that a lot of folks are going to the small churches where truth is still preached, I'm glad my church is small. POWDERMAN.

I want the Bible changed so I never have to think about what I am doing, so every decision I make will always be the right one, never face temptation, never face judgement, never be held accountable, and I want to be able to come up with any wild idea that makes me feel good be ok. Oh wait never mind that is what is trying to be done to the Bible.

When we stray from those principles in the Bible we come under judgement. When we come under judgement we want to justify ourselves with excuses. When we do that we are just plain wrong. Why is it so difficult to turn towards God and admit we screwed up, we will do our best not to do it again and try to live by the Word given us. Changing the Bible to make it animal friendly, gender nuetral, or taking away the soverienty of God just leads to way more problems. I would rather hear the truth spoken and taught than what alot of churches are spewing.

Once you take simple plain language and twist it to make it say what you want you start down a slippery slope that destroys ALL validity of the document. The libs have done the same thing to the Constitution, probably the second greatest writing in the history of the world.
