Stripped the gun 100% for a deep clean. Can't figure out how to remove the darn hammer. What's the trick?

I have only done this once when a roomate broke the hammer about 20 years ago.
From what I remember it comes out the bottom (trigger guard area) after removing the hammer screw and the trigger.

Remington hammer is removed from the top after removing the hand screw. Colt hammer and hand come out the bottom as a unit.
