well... didn't get it early on, then it made me smile partway through (good music) and then cried at the end when the little girl gets hugged. I miss mine greatly, both of them.

Nicely produced video, but in a city known for pickpockets and other hustlers, I don't think I'd avail myself of a free hug from a stranger. I think the history of the hug originates in familiarity, and it is not practiced among strangers. Would you have asked for a free hug?

Further, if they were part of a film making effort, were they really free?

Nice video, but reading some of the replies here just goes to show how cynical the world has become! People look past the beauty in life, that's staring them right in the eyes, and look only for the bad. Where I live we all still wave when passing on the road, whether we klnow each other or not. People still stop to offer someone walking a ride and if we see someone broke down we stop and offer help. We smile at each other and wish each other a good day...whether stranger or friend. Simply country folk being hospitable and the stranger you meet, and befriend today, just might save your butt in a pinch tomorrow. Does that mean we are mindless sheep easily led? Try the wrong thing and you'll quickly see our teeth in other than a smile! Thank God for down home country folks!

I live in a place like that too we all smile and wave, and make sure our concealed handguns aren't showing, but the guns are there. Some of the most dangerous and untrustworthy people I have ever encountered were down-home simple country folks.

There are "Free Hug" videos from all over the world. I like the one from Italy best of the ones that I have seen. Didn't argue it or critique it, just enjoyed it and hoped others would also. ear

The handshake was originally used to prove to a stranger that you were not carrying a weapon in your strong hand and meant no harm.  Bowing was a gesture of complete submission meant to bear the back of the neck to a Lord who then had the choice to take your life or not.  The world has been a cynical place for a LONG time.  ;)
