painted stocks, barrels, receivers, misc
« on: April 01, 2011, 11:56:30 PM »
Im a autobody man and have my own shop now for 37 years, and if any of you would like something painted, lets say the color of your truck? or wifes eyes? or favorite sports team, or bass boat. Ship it to me and ill have one of my guys do it at cost. Mixing a small amount of paint and clearcoating it at the same time as when they shoot a car, wont cost much. probably 50 to 70 for stock sets and barrels 20 bucks and receivers in brownells black would prob be 10 bucks. then of course theres the shipping both ways. So its just an idea Ive had, Im shooting a shotgun in gloss black , ill post some pics when its done.

ship to Tom Krupica 550 w. colfax street palatine Illinois 60067

Hmmm...do you do any "texture" paint or rhino liner type painting? That might be something i'd be interested in.

You need to have an FFL to work on the receivers Tom. Do you have one?

Nevermind... I just found out that you do have an FFL. That answers alot of questions. ;)

Tom,
I, too, would like to know about texturing.

Thanks, Dinny

I have a spray from argentina that is water based and super tough, we use it on the underside of trunk floors and I put it on the sides of my truck from the side moldings on down. its decent. What did you want it put on? plastic or wood or metal? I think it will stick to anything as long as its primed correctly. Ive painted chrome and glass, and got it to stick. Its like glueing the paint or texture on.

I'm interested in having it applied to a wood stock set for wet-weather and cheek (sometimes I get sweaty and can't keep a good cheek weld to the stock) grip.

Thanks, Dinny
