I have a 2008 Ridgeline and its ok for what I do most of the time. I doesn't have much clearance and my one trip to the beach was a bit concerning. I was trying to follow a friend in a big Dodge Ram PU with 31 in offroad tires. We kept up but I really scraped going over a gravel area. Scooped up a bunch of rocks that took over 100 miles to completely fall back out. I get about 18 MPG in my mostly small town short distance driving. Its been great in snow and ice - have only skidded it slightly one time. With those computerized wheels and good studs it won't let me spin or skid when I've tried. Its great for hauling the kids and some gear. I put a Bak Flip 2 tonneau on the back and I'm real happy with that. Also now I can tow my boat (18 Hewes searunner) and carry my family and gear. BUT I think that boat is max or a little over for it. I get a hot smell some days towing the boat up some hills and I've had to add transmission fluid a couple times. I need to adjust the boat trailer, I think it has too much tongue wt - especially when my bow fuel tank is full. Visibility for backing up is a serious issue - esp for my wife who is shorter than me. Thats when I'm really glad for the electric rear window, but it could use bigger side mirrors. With the front wheel drive, it took me some learning to back the boats up - for some reason it handled really different from my old Ford 150. Overall I like it but if someone offered to trade it for a 4 door Tacoma, I might go for it. Hauling firewood, the Ridgeline just doesn't carry what my old 2wd 150 could. I sure like the super quiet engine. Dread the day if I ever need work on it. Oh and I ran it up a long gravel road hill in snow early last winter. Was almost offroading with deep ruts and holes along with the 8-12 in of heavy wet snow. It did really well just grinding along slowly but somehow I over heated it. I don't really understand the whole fancy traction system or when to switch it. Anyway I had steam coming out of the radiator - I turned around - dumped my water bottles in it and beat feet home. Now I still smell a little antifreeze nearly every time I get out of it in the garage - hope I didn't do damage. Coolant level seems ok. I would love even 2 inches more clearance. I wouldn't consider it for real off-roading. I haven't been stuck in it yet - but I don't push things much.
