Why no Winchester shotguns here?

During the 2010 season I killed doves in two states, ducks in 2 states, pheasants in 3, quail in 2, snipe in 1, and an assortment of small game with "The Perfect Repeater".  Over the years I've killed fall turkeys and geese too... 

For real hunters looking to do real killing, the Model 12 in modified is the best upland gun ever made.  Sadly Winchester stopped making a quality pump decades ago, and today's hunter generally doesn't shoot enough to know or care.

Well SEAlaska, Tim moved a post that was posted here about a Winchester model 24 shotgun and I really don't see why except because he can.  I mean it's a shotgun. Why post here about all other brands but he moved that one to the Winchester forum.

Seems better to have all the shotguns together.

No reason and I too wondered why Tim moved it. Perhaps he thought it would get more answers there than here I dunno. This forum is for discussion of any brand shotgun for use in wing shooting.

Such discussions can also take place on the brand specific forum as well. It's not required to take it to a brand specific forum but if a specific question regarding a certain brand you might or might not get a better answer there than here. I tend to read this forum but never visit the Winchester forum. I only commented on the gun cuz I saw the move by Tim and wondered why so went to it.

I have nothing against them.  I bought a Ted Williams Pump (Winchester 1300 or 1400) from by brother that was new in the 70's.  I sold it to my father-in-law because I just did not like the feel of it even though I shot it good.  My father-in-law still uses it today and it still kills squirrels, doves, turkeys, clay pigens and deer with a slug barrel that I picked up for it.

  I have a Winchester 1200 that i inherited from my grandfather before i left for the military.  He took his first deer with it back in the late 60's.  I have taken all of my deer with it since i got it.  Great gun!

I had one of those as well.  Gave it to my youngest brother.  Shoulda kept it.  Those worked well, easy to carry, and Winchester made a bunch of different barrels for them.  Trouble is, it was a big departure from the Model 12 and never caught on with the gun snobs.  Some shotgun folks prefer much more expensive offerings with lots of engraving and such.
