BEERBELLY. I agree. Jones may be a nut, but the godless ones are just using this as an excuse to kill, as if they ever needed one. I have no problem with him burning satans handbook, but certainly would not announce it to the world because of the barbaric, savage behaviour of the godless ones. They burn the Christian Bible all the time, brag about it. They are responsible for their own actions and kill because they want to, not because anybody MADE them. POWDERMAN.

Who cares if some nut burns the Koran, it is no more holy to me than Dianetics, or War and Peace just another book. The problem lies with the Heathen masses who use any percieved insult to their "religion" as an excuse to riot and settle old scores. You can bet the ones killed were not chosen at random.

It was illuminating for me to learn he had served as a missionary to the Muslim immigrants in Germany for 30 years. And while I may disagree with him on some issues, I found no evidence that he has a personal vendetta against individual Muslims, just the doctrine and teachings of Islam.

It was a goofy and unnecessary thing to do...but the killings and rioting was the fault of the idiots who perpetrated the murderous acts..
Where would this world be if Christians or Jews ran riot and murdered because somebody burned a Bible..be it a Christian or Jewish Bible ? How many times have Christians been patient, every time some cretan makes a blasphemous picture or "sculpture" supposedly representing Christ ?
All kinds of things are done with Bibles and all kinds of trash movies are made, trying to provoke Christians...but we persevere, knowing just what kind of weak minds it takes to dream these things up.
We do have presence of mind enough to realize that Bibles themselves , are just printed matter..and there are millions more where any one of them came from.
As TeamNelson said; He does not seem to have a vendetta with any single Islam practitioner, but rather with the religion itself; and he seems to have some background experience to back up his opinions.

A year ago, I would have agreed that it was a bad idea to burn the Koran or anybody's religeous book. But with all that's happened here and abroad, I have changed my mind. The internet has opened my eyes. Muslims won't rest till its over. They want every non muslim dead. The hate is in the air. I'm sick of turning the other cheek.
I don't hear any muslims in the US condemning beheadings, do you? They have zero tolerance for other religions.
Violence is nothing new. I think more people have been killed in the name of God than by any other means. Remember the Crusades?
I don't think this will end well and expect more confrontations in the US in the future. Sadly, there will be more violence on our shores.

The good proper-god-filled Rev Jones burned the book knowing it would mean the deaths of many people. That's murder in the eyes of God and probably in the eyes of the law.

I fail to see the connection. So some Jews in Israel burned some New Testaments, they didn't confiscate them from Christians then burn them. They bought them then burned them in some symbolic gesture. Did Christians run amoke worldwide looting killing and burning? Nope. Both Christians and Jews tolerate daily persecution and insults from the Muslims, including the call for exterminating everyone who will not convert to Islam.

Terry Jones is just a small time preacher trying to make the big time news with a "fight" against Islam and Satans Forces can you read "Please send your donations so we can continue our HEROIC struggle against the Godless Heathen and Satan himself" As long as he gets the free publicity he will reach millions more of the poor misguided souls who will open their pocketbooks to give to the good reverend.

That is taking the whole"butterfly flapping it's wing on the other side of the world starts the wind that becomes a hurricane" approach don't ya think? Heres a novel idea, how about we hold the people who commit the crimes personaly responsible for thier own actions. The world may think Jones is a douche for burning the book, but he didn't hurt anyone or break any laws, so no crime. The rioters though...

Only to another extremest . Like the court jester or fool he only says things others think but are unwilling to say for fear of punishment. In this case it would seem his actions suggest fight fire with fire ( no pun intended) . They drag our men thru the street , the destory our ways yet we should allow it ? As I said, the Rev made a foolish choice... But the blood is on the mad dogs that did the murdering. If one gets upset about something done by another, there are ways to deal with it ! Write news articles decrying his actions, sue him, or do as many Christians do in similar circumstances; consider the source and shrug off the ravings of an idiot ! Those people who set out deliberately to murder, had murder instilled in their minds long before the book burning event.

Junior; I can recall back in the 1960s, when Dr Martin Luther King went around the country giving speeches, leading parades, holding rallies and other things. Often his rallies or speeches were followed by disruptions and sometimes even rioting. It was clearly obvious that his speeches and/or rallies were followed by such violent activities. There were a few times when people were seriously injured and even killed during such unrest..one of which was himself.
Was Dr King responsible for this violence, injuries and death ? I think not, I believe the lawbreakers were responsible for the violence...and noone else ! James Earl Ray murdered Dr King and noone else...doesn't matter if he felt he was "provoked" by Dr king or anyone else..the blood is on the hands of the killer..period ! Same goes for the crazies who murdered people who had not one thing to do with burning the contested reading matter !

And delivered exactly that way to cause such activities His organization was financially supported from the USSR to cause civil unrest.

I believe he was< as well as working with Brown and the Black Panthers which BTW are still around causing trouble.
