270 Ren andcast bullets

Great little round the Ren but I don't shoot field pistol much anymore , not many shoots here in SC that I have found. I have tried to come up with a cast bullet load for the 270 before I moved from NM , Nobade and I worked on this project but couldn't come up with a workable solution. I want to come up with a 85-90 grain @ 1500 or so for small game hunting and just fun plinking. I currently use the 90 Sierra HP and it is very accurate out of the 270 , but being a cast bullet in the contender fan I am still searching .  Does any one out there have any suggestions ?

I am assuming your barrel is a 10"/10" twist.Lyman made a mold#280473 that dropped ~125 grain bullet that could work. Veral might make a mold for the thing also. I would consider opening the chamber a bit to get a little more power from it . You will be treading on uncharted ground anyway.
  I have a Ideal # 280468 mold that I picked up by mistake at a sale.(thought it was a 7mm)that is in good shape .I do not know the weight it drops,but it is a Loverine style semi round nose g.c. bullet. It appears to be shorter than my 130 grain 7mm bullet. It may weigh around 100/110 grains. Single cavity so it ain't for production. If you have the sizer and gas checks this might be your ticket .

Thanks for the response . Let me think about the offer on the mold . I would like more than a single cavity to cast with . The mold you have is a 109 grain , good guess. I will get back to you. Once again thanks for the feed back .
