Dragoon Loading Lever Catch
« on: April 05, 2011, 04:17:47 PM »
Just got my first Dragoon revolver. Its loading lever catch is configured differently than my Remington or an 1860 Colt Army. It seems to be stuck. How do I operate a verticle catch as opposed to the others' horizontal catch?

Problem solved. Someone suggested I use a hardwood block to move the latch. It worked. Apparently there's crud and fouling from firing the gun that makes it too difficult to unlatch by simple thumb pressure. Will clean and lube the latch.

First Model Dragoon?

Some pics would be nice, for those of us without one.
