We need to do that here as well. All the bogus hate crime legislation that gives some people more rights than others needs to end now. Equality my representative symbol of the d party.

We have a law in KY about concealing the face, it was aimed at the kkk. Unless a person is disfigured or some medical reason theres no excuse for concealing ones identity. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

It's supposed to take effect April 11th. One of the godless ones said she might have to move out of the country. GREAT NEWS, just don't come here. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D

I agree with the Hate crime crapola.
But we have a freedom of religeon here.
They can be musliums here, they can prcatictice all they want.
But we can not give in on the Pictures on the drivers license.
we can not give in on the police pulling them over and not seeing their face to match it to the ID.
Now with that said, all reasonable efforts should be made, if a Police woman is on duty and is near by, sure she can be called but do not drag the female police officers across the city, state, out of bed to come and make the ID.
We also need to get back to Freedom means I can do, not you have to make it easy for me to do or your way of life over rides my freedom to use Private property how I see fit.

MC, Laws are made and are on the books that already trample peoples (our)rights. I don't see religion as a qualifier nor as an exception. Especially when association can be made to people who rely on violence to get their way. The mask can be taken off of Clayton Moore, but not one who belongs to a terrorist society citing religion.  Not really disagreeing with you, but there is a duality of meaning in alot proposals that I see no real difference in. The whole, it's okay for you/them,but not me/us thing. I do believe in the freedom of religion as well as our other freedoms, but as long as some courts can rule that homosexuality cannot be preached against in some churches, head scarves/veils, can suffer the same rulings? ( I must be honest and say that I cannot offer referance to the homo preaching rulings, but have read about them in the news paper "the oregonian". It would be very easy to discredit that section of my offered argument)  ;)

What I was getting at is you can be a satinist/ Devil worship/ or what have you as your religeon, Other laws make it so you can not practice it.  poligimy is legal in the Muslium religeon but you are not allowed here (USA).
I agree that we should not give in to childish acts of outrage that they came here that the Constitution was the suprime law of our land and no matter what they (add any strange group from Musliums to Liberals) want it to say.

The unfortunate part about your argument is that "some" people use religion as a "card" to be pulled out and used as necessary for their benefit, just like some people currently use the "race" card.  This type of behavior was pointed out in the "Targaaay" post, where Muslims working in "Targaaay" refused to stock pork products because it was against their religion. The work had to be done by others, including Jews (who also are not allowed to eat pork).

I believe the Muslims have to compromise and adapt their "religious views & customs" to live in our society, just like all the other groups that came prior to them.  If it is so abhorrent to them to do so, why would they leave their "great" homeland to come here, the land of the Great Satan? We all know deep in our hearts that our parents and those that are 1st generation immigrants, all came here to build a better life for their families.

I don't know where I read it, but there was a story about an incident that happened in British ruled India. After a rich man died, the Indians wanted to throw the mans' widows into the funeral pyre (the practice called Sati or Suti). When the British Governor refused, the Indians objected, claiming it was a custom of their religion.  The British Governor relented, wisely stating, you may do so, but it is a British custom to hang the people who would do so.  The Indians changed their mind (and their custom).

The police woman example doesn't work, most PD's already have it written in their Patrol Guides, that male PO's may physically search females when it is not prudent or conveniently possible to do so.

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.

I think we are aruging the same side of the coin.
I may not be expressing it the right way.
And trust me, If I did not think it would be offensive to Jewish people, I would soak all my money in bacon fat before headed out for the day.
Also if working at Target I would have said that my Dutch reform prohibits me from cleaning bathrooms but since it is no where in the Quaran, I guess I will stock the pork products and he gets to clean the poop rooms, that I would have covered in bacon fat as well.

Old school, Agreed, "the card" is used whenever it can be for some rather nefarious reasons at times. Seems alot of times anymore are to destroy anothers culture. One of my sisters works at a wal mart, a refugee (?) immigrant from an african nation told her that she went to a class that told them how to get away with not doing what she wanted. Seems the gist of the instruction was mostly about the aclu ( >:(). Now I hear on the radio that some nations are basically having excursions to America for expectant mothers so their kids can be US citizens. The 14th A needs to be used in its literal sense by excluding citizenship to these criminals.

Oh well, doesn't really matter I suppose. The gooberment seems hellbent on destruction at the national level.

like MC says most times we're all on the same side of the coin. Think I'll go see if there's an easy fill container that will work well for mess less distribution of bacon grease. Then; go shopping  ;) ;D
