Are these the sealed Christian books of Logos as mentioned in Revelations..? Do they predate Paul..? How can Christians get them out of israel, where they disappeared..? What about the 'mustard seed'..? Are they authentic..and pre-Paul..? Christians ought to know and make it their business to find out....

from what I read in the book of Revelation the sealed book is in Heaven not some cave in Jordon.

A very interesting find. Looks to be authentic. Been around five years and nobody tried to cash in on it. Normally the fakes are make by small antique dealers with connections and they cash in fast.

The first article I saw had more pictures. On one cover looked like a picture of Jesus. The picture of Jesus we know was painted by one of the famous artist of the 16th century. The image was taken from the shroud of Turin. If these book prove to be authentic it could give credit to the shroud.

Some of the secret wisdom of Jesus is recorded in the gospels. He explains to his disciples the meaning of the parables. If translations are ever released I would compare any so called new wisdom to them.

Anything Christian pre-dating Paul is a very narrow window. I think the people writing these articles are unchristian. They always try to discredit Paul. Be suspicious. These books could have been faked for that reason.

These books do not in any way match the description of any of the books mentioned in Revelations. Any book so valuable that Jesus was the only one in Heaven and on Earth worthy to open would be better preserved and guarded than that.

Didn't the article say that they had 11 of 14 of these lead books sealed with metal clamps. They were fond near where Jesus is buried. The funny thing about it? One family has owned these books for over 100 years. Maybe with this inflation they need to sell them. This all sounds a little strange.

tm. HEH, I'm well aware of that scripture and it shows that the sealed scroll, or book is still in Heaven and not among those found in a cave. The daily mail didn't title the thread, you did. I just find it amusing seeing you wiggle when caught in an obvious attempt at distortion of Gods word. Apology accepted. The word TOAST comes to mind. POWDERMAN.

I re-read that passage several times as well, and even with my limited reading comprehension skills I can tell the difference between a sealed scroll in the right hand of he who sits on the throne, and 70 lead books from a cave in jordan.

In TM7's defence he/she did just repost an article from dailymail that was obviously sensationalized.

If these do turn out to be early Christian writings (pre-paul and canonization) then they may very well be signifiant.
