Hi Guys:
Well it was a bright and sunny day, so I snuck out for an hour at lunch time to my local range to start the break in of my Kahr PM9.
Well all total I ran over 150 rounds through it without a burp. It ate over 100 rounds of cheap Blazer ammo, some Gold Dots, and about 25 hot, Cor-Bon 115 grn HP's. The Cor-Bon are very accurate and hit hard at 1350 fps. and 466 ft/lbs.
The only thing that I can sort of fault is that with the Crimson Trace on the triggerguard, it takes up some space INSIDE the triggerguard. I have to squeeze the trigger with the front pad of my index finger. If I squeeze the trigger at the web it sort of pinches a bit. I do have sort of big hands, but just take that as a FYI when using the CT.
Now the main spring on the slide is STRONG. It takes two men and a boy to hold the slide back and pop the retaining clip when you want to take it apart for cleaning.
Besides that, the workmanship is excellent, trigger pull long but smooth, and the lil gun is accurate. I shot at 7 yards, 15 yards, and 25 yards. Even at 25 yards, no Crimson Trace, I can keep six out of six shots in the chest area.
This is a quality firearm. It is right up there with my Colts and S&W's. It's not cheap, but you can bet your life on it.
Regards PAH
