wow.

Let me repeat.  WOW

60 grains of fff.

Where the Remington would go about half way through a 2x4 with 30 grains, the Walker goes plumb through..... and the 3/4 piece of pine behind, and the 1/2 piece of cement board behind that.

Lots of smoke.   Lots of smoke.   Did I say lots of smoke?

Very accurate.  more so than the 1858 and the colt 1860

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Clause.

And yer still grinnin'  ;D. Sounds like a good time no doubt. Glad your having fun. Need to get me a walker one of these days. Sounds as though your range day confirmed that the Walker was indeed the most powerful handgun for almost a century until the .357 mag came out. Seems odd that what used to be a standard charge for military muskets is used in a handgun doesn't it. Walkers, the origional magnum.

Here's a little video of me and my Walkers:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a68HbDLnftA

A fellow Cowboy Action Shooter by the alias of Widowmaker Hill holds the unofficial world record at shooting gunfighter style.  10 shots in under 2 seconds.  So I made this video for him.  If I can figger out how to shave 28 seconds off of my time I'll be able to beat him.

They are fun to shoot.

Power is an understatement.  Last time I had my 1847 at the range, it was dropping the 45 cal bals through the target, through the 5/4 board, followed by the 4x4 post behind it and then the other 5/4 board behind that at 25 yards.
